OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - New York coach Mike D'Antoni said Eddy Curry won't make his season debut Tuesday night when the Knicks play the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Curry has missed the entire season with a knee injury. D'Antoni said last week that Curry could return to the Knicks' lineup during a four-game Western Conference road trip that began in Oklahoma City.Curry has practiced twice with the Knicks in recent days but was on the inactive list for Tuesday's game. D'Antoni wants Curry to "have a few more practices in him" before returning to the court.
D'Antoni said there is no specific timetable for Curry's return, but added Curry is close. The coach said Curry would probably be listed as day-to-day by Wednesday or Thursday.
After playing the Thunder, the Knicks will travel to Dallas for a game against the Mavericks on Thursday. New York also will visit Houston and New Orleans on the road trip.
