--During the six-game losing streak, the Knicks are giving up 115.5 points a game. "We have to play defense," head coach Mike D'Antoni said. "I know I joke around a lot about it, but the only way we are going win is to get better at it. We're little. We don't have a shot-blocker, so we have to do the little things.'" --According to the New York Post, Stephon Marbury will not discuss a buyout with the Knicks until an arbiter rules on the $400,000 he was fined after declining an invitation from head coach Mike D'Antoni to play last month in Detroit. Team president Donnie Walsh is hoping to find a suitable number early next month. "Before I listen to what Donnie has to say, I want the $400,000 that was taken for no reason," Marbury told the paper. "(D'Antoni) made a choice not to play me. There was no jersey hanging in my locker." QUOTE TO NOTE: "Our energy has to be constant for the whole 48 minutes. We can't go stretches where our defense lets up, because that's what gets us in trouble." -- Knicks guard Chris Duhon.
