New York Knicks Notes, Quotes 2009-11-03

New York Knicks Notes, Quotes 2009-11-03--After showing off his marksmanship from long range, Danilo Gallinari displayed another dimension to his game as he struggled with his shooting against the Hornets. Gallinari had five assists -- all in the first half -- and showed off impressive court vision as he found David Lee on several looks for easy baskets.

Gallinari, who entered the game leading all NBA second-year players with 22.7 points per game after three games, made just 2 of 9 from the field, including 1 of 6 from beyond the 3-point arc.

--F Al Harrington downplayed a scrum he had with Chris Paul during the second half, when both went for a loose ball and Paul fell on top of Harrington and appeared to throw a couple of jabs as the two were tangled on the floor. Harrington said "my head hit his knee" and later said it "was nothing. I dove for the ball and he thought I fouled him so he was just frustrated. I don't know what he was doing. I couldn't see him. But it wasn't nothing. It's nothing nobody should review or nothing like that."

The NBA is already scrutinizing Paul for his actions in an altercation with Celtics guard Rajon Rondo in Sunday's game between the Hornets and Celtics.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I ain't like Jared. Jared's a bleeder. That man goes to the hole and gets cut every single time. That's amazing." -- Harrington on teammate Jared Jeffries, who needed three stitches to close a gash over his right eye from a Hilton Armstrong elbow. Jeffries had four stitches on the same eye from an Elton Brand elbow during the preseason.
