--It has been 22 years since the Knicks drafted a player who became an NBA All-Star. Mark Jackson, who was the team's first-round pick in 1987, joined Patrick Ewing on the Eastern Conference all-star team in 1989. Since then the Knicks have made 20 first-round picks (not counting the two this year) and none have been selected to an all-star team either as a Knick or for anyone else. The current roster has three previous first-round picks made by the franchise: David Lee, Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari. --Toney Douglas is the second player from Florida State that the Knicks chose with a first-round pick. The other? Former Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward, who was the 26th overall pick in 1994 and went on to play 10 seasons in New York. Sam Cassell is another well-known point guard to emerge from Florida State, which is, of course, better known for sending talent to the NFL. But there is a fair share of Seminoles who have succeeded in the NBA, from Dave Cowens to Mitchell Wiggins to George McCloud and, more currently, Al Thornton. QUOTE TO NOTE: "To be honest, probably. I'm not going to lie to you and say no. Might be better if I lied to you. But, you do have favorites here and there, but I'm telling you, I'm thinking this could be lucky ... [Jordan Hill] is 6-10 and can shoot and run the floor. You just don't find those guys." -- Mike D'Antoni, on the Knicks missing out on Stephen Curry in the NBA draft.
