He joined the scouts and general manager Glen Grunwald on Thursday, but since the organization doesn't have a second round pick, Walsh is looking to network. He might still be in the market for some help in the front office and is working to assess the value of players on the roster that could be traded in the weeks ahead.
--Mike D'Antoni is waiting for Phoenix to hire a head coach before he starts putting together a staff in New York. The Suns probably won't release Dan D'Antoni or Phil Weber until somebody is in place. Herb Williams, a longtime Knicks assistant, is likely to stay in place.
