New York Knicks Roster Report 2008-11-01

New York Knicks Roster Report 2008-11-01
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Chris Duhon, Shooting guard Jamal Crawford, Small forward Quentin Richardson, Power forward Zach Randolph, Center David Lee. Bench -- Forward Wilson Chandler, Guard Nate Robinson, Forward Malik Rose, Forward Danilo Gallinari, Guard Mardy Collins.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Quentin Richardson isn't getting a lot of leash. He was 3-for-8 from the field, 2-for-5 from behind the arc, which resulted in just 20 minutes of playing time against the Sixers. The rest of the starters all got at least 30 minutes.

"We didn't move the ball real well," he said. "We didn't shoot the ball well at all. Tough night."

--G Chris Duhon will be closely scrutinized every time out. And it's not because he's the new guy in town. The fact that G Stephon Marbury is sitting on the bench in street clothes is bringing extra attention. The critics got some ammunition on Friday as Duhon went 1-for-8 against Philadelphia and finished with five points, six rebounds and seven assists.

--C Eddy Curry will be sitting on the bench until he makes an impression on Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni. It might take a while. Curry has already picked up two DNP-CDs. He will have to get into shape and prove during practice this system is not a bad fit for a true big man. The minutes he could be getting are going to Malik Rose at this point.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Jared Jeffries (fractured left fibula) is using a hyperbaric chamber in hopes of speeding the heeling process, but he's expected to be out until December.
