New York Knicks Roster Report 2008-11-23
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Chris Duhon, Shooting guard Nate Robinson, Small forward Quentin Richardson, Power forward Wilson Chandler, Center David Lee. Bench -- Forward Malik Rose, Guard Anthony Roberson.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Stephon Marbury was inactive on Saturday after declining to help out his short-handed teammates in Milwaukee. Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni wasn't asking again. "I think I got the answer (Friday), so I don't think anything's changed," D'Antoni said. Marbury continues to be vague about the situation. "I just want to go forward," he said. "That's all I'm trying to do."

--C Jerome James was back in uniform after returning home to deal with a personal issue. He wasn't in any shape to play, but the Knicks needed a body to meet the NBA minimum of eight players dressed for a game.

--F Quentin Richardson finished with seven 3-pointers on Saturday against Washington, two short of the franchise record. He connected six times from behind the arc in the first quarter, matching John Starks' team record.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Jared Jeffries (fractured left fibula) is using a hyperbaric chamber in hopes of speeding the heeling process, but he's expected to be out until December. There is a chance he will be able to practice in the next two weeks.

--C Eddy Curry (bruised knee) needed a cortisone shot recently to relieve the pain. He is not ready to resume practicing.

--F Danilo Gallinari (back) was instructed by two back specialists to get a second cortisone shot and rest for several weeks before the situation is re-evaluated. There is a possibility the rookie will need season-ending surgery.
