ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Chris Duhon, Shooting guard Larry Hughes, Small forward Danilo Gallinari, Power forward Wilson Chandler, Center David Lee. Bench -- Forward Al Harrington, Forward Jared Jeffries, Guard Nate Robinson. PLAYER NOTES: --F Danilo Gallinari was the only Knick without the hot hand in this game. He made just two of 10 shots from the field and was 0-for-4 from three-point range in 17:52.
--C David Lee was shredding the Nuggets' interior defense with the pick-and-roll. Lee had 23 points and 10 rebounds and made 8-of-11 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the line.
--G Larry Hughes believes he was fouled on the final play of regulation, when Denver's Chauncey Billups stripped him. Hughes said he was trying to step back to the three-point line for a potential game-tying shot when he was hit. Referee Sean Corbin did not signal a foul because the game had ended.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--C Eddy Curry missed his second straight game with a left knee injury suffered last Tuesday against the Lakers. He is considered day-to-day and it is not known if he will be able to play by Sunday's game against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.
--G Chris Duhon appeared to injure his left ankle on the final play of the first half when he stepped on Denver guard Ty Lawson's foot on a last-second shot attempt. Duhon limped off the floor in obvious pain and looked hobbled when he returned to the court for the second half, but he stayed in the game.
