PLAYER NOTES: --G Larry Hughes was inserted back into the starting lineup on Saturday in place of Quentin Richardson, who's got a sore ankle, but Hughes continued to struggle from the field. He went 1-for-6 against Charlotte, and he is 9-for-32 over the past five games.
--G Nate Robinson did not get suspended by the league for pushing referee Ken Maurer, who stepped in to prevent him from escalating a physical confrontation with Chris Paul on Friday at Madison Square Garden. The emotional outbursts are growing too frequent, and Robinson is not backing down from officials. "Every call, you can't just continually complain," Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said. "He has that bad habit."
--F Wilson Chandler had three blocks on Saturday against the Bobcats, and he is leading the Knicks in that category this season. He's averaging an unimpressive 0.85 blocks per game, but he's swatted at least one in each of the last seven games.
