Jose Calderon is ready to take another step up in the Raptors record book. The point guard began last night's game against Houston with 1,745 career assists and No.3 on Toronto's all-time list. He was just behind No.2 Damon Stoudamire, who has 1,761. Alvin Williams sits atop the list with 1,791.

A year ago, the Rockets were in the midst of one of the greatest streaks in NBA history, rattling off 22 straight victories between Jan.29 and March 16. It was the second-longest streak in NBA history, behind only a 33-gamer by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. Fans around the Toyota Center were seen sporting T-shirts commemorating the streak at last night's game, leading one Raptor insider to quip: "They won 22 straight, we've won 23 all year."
