 Basketball Knicks set themselves up for 2010: The New York Knicks traded Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford in separate deals Friday, parting with their two top scorers to free up coveted salary-cap space for the summer of 2010. Crawford was sent to Golden State for forward Al Harrington. Hours later, Randolph was shipped to the Los Angeles Clippers along with reserve guard Mardy Collins for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas. Golf Sorenstam's LPGA career ends: Annika Sorenstam's storied LPGA Tour career is over. The 72-time tour winner shot a 3-over par 75 on Friday at the ADT Championship, leaving her 5 over through two rounds of the LPGA's season-ending event. Only 16 players advanced to the third round in the 32-woman event, and Sorenstam finished two shots out of that mix. She announced six months ago she was leaving the tour at year's end to pursue business interests, get married and start a family. Sorenstam still is No. 2 in the world rankings, but at 38 she says it's time for new challenges. Volleyball TU falls: Kelsey Hancock slammed a career-high 21 kills, but the fifth-seeded University of Tulsa fell 19-25, 25-23, 23-25, 22-25 to fourth-seeded Houston in the Conference USA Volleyball Championship at Memphis. Soccer OSU's Carmichael honored: Oklahoma State coach Colin Carmichael has been named the 2008 Central Region Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. In his fourth season as the Cowgirls' head coach, Carmichael led OSU to a record-breaking season and was named the 2008 Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year as the Cowgirls captured their first-ever Big 12 Conference regular season championship. Odenyo nominated: Oklahoma State midfielder Yolanda Odenyo has been named one of 32 women's soccer finalists for the Soccer News Net Player of the Year Award. Hurricane selected: University of Tulsa goalkeeper Tyrel Lacey was named to the third team and TU freshman Austin Neil was selected to the second team All-Rookie squad of the Top Drawer Soccer's National Teams of the Year - a variation of All-America teams. Baseball Feds seek release of BALCO transcripts: Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to unseal thousands of pages of grand jury transcripts and other documents from the government's BALCO steroids investigation.
