Kyle McAlarney, perhaps Staten Island's all-time favorite Basketball player, is hoping to make it to the pros and is describing his experiences in an exclusive blog on silive.com, the Advance's home on the Web.
As the NBA Draft nears, the Moore Catholic HS product is working out for various teams. Yesterday's workout was a little different, though, as he worked out for his hometown Knicks . Here are some of his comments: "Walking around their facility, I tried to take it all in. The pictures hanging on the wall reminded me of my mother's past obsession with the Knicks of old. The Charles Oakley, Ewing, Starks dunking on Jordan and Pippen, Larry Johnson hitting four point plays on the Pacer days. I grew up a Knick fan, so being there was something I have looked forward to my whole life.
"Whatever happens with the draft, I am confident that there is a spot for me in this league."
